A weekly series to explain common construction terms.
K-Rail: This temporary concrete or plastic barrier is often seen on construction projects. It is used to reroute vehicles, prevent crossover traffic, and to serve as a protective barrier between construction workers and motorists. In many other states, K-rail is referred to as “Jersey barrier.”
Cajalco Road / I-15 Interchange Improvement Project: Road work and closures may occur within the I-15 corridor as part of the City of Corona’s Cajalco Road / I-15 Interchange Improvement Project.
