Construction Update – Week of Nov 25

There will be no closures on the 15 Express Lanes project from Wednesday, Nov. 27 through Tuesday morning, Dec. 3 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!



Intermittent weeknight lane reductions are scheduled on northbound and southbound 15, between Weirick Rd. and State Route 60. During lane reductions, at least one lane will remain open at all times.

Street flagging is scheduled on Corona Ave. intermittently on Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The closure schedule is as follows:

Closures of the 15/91 connectors are also planned weeknights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should use arterial roadways when possible; detours will be clearly marked.


The following connectors are scheduled to close Monday and Tuesday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.:

  • Northbound 15 to westbound 91 connector
  • Northbound 15 to eastbound 91 connector

Project Milestone

A major project milestone was reached Nov. 15 with the delivery of the last of 55 gigantic bridge girders. Weighing in at 132 tons each (about the size of a blue whale), the girders were transported at night during the last several months.Crews are continuing to rebuild the Santa Ana River Bridge to accommodate the 15 widening.
