Construction Update – Week of Mar. 18

 

DAYTIME PILE DRIVING ON EL CERRITO RD

Crews will be hammering steel piles into the ground to support the new portion of the El Cerrito bridge footings to accommodate the new express lanes.

This daytime work will take place 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 20 to Friday, March 22 next week. The work is expected to be completed in approximately three to four weeks. Please be advised, this work may be loud and disruptive.


NEW TRAFFIC CONFIGURATION ON EL CERRITO ROAD

A new, temporary traffic configuration is in place on El Cerrito Road at I-15 to allow crews to widen the bridge. Please allow for extra travel time and use caution when traveling through the area.

 

 


DAYTIME FLAGGING

Daytime flagging operations will continue weekdays for bridge widening work on Corona Ave. at I-15 through March.

Flagging on Second and Third Street will also take place from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, for closure pour removals.

Caltrans Maintenance: Caltrans crews will be closing the northbound 15 to the westbound 91 connector and the Main St. off-ramp in Corona for survey work on Saturday, March 9 from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Please reduce your speed in the work zone. For more information, visit the Caltrans website.
