Construction Update – Week of Feb. 25

15/91 CONNECTOR CLOSURES

Crews will be closing the 15/91 connectors nightly from Monday, Feb. 25 to Friday, March 1 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for crane assembly and dirt hauling. Detours will be clearly marked. View the map below for more information.


NIGHTTIME LANE & RAMP CLOSURES

Alternating closures on the El Cerrito Rd. and Ontario Ave. on- and off-ramps on northbound and southbound I-15 are scheduled nightly from Monday, Feb. 25 to Friday, March 1 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will be installing k-rail, paving, and re-striping. The ramps will not be closed consecutively. Detours will be clearly marked.

Intermittent lane reductions are also scheduled on northbound and southbound I-15 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights and up to 7 a.m. weekend mornings. During lane reductions, at least one lane will remain open at all times. View the Google map below for more information.


NEW TRAFFIC CONFIGURATION ON EL CERRITO RD.

A temporary traffic configuration on El Cerrito Road at I-15 will begin next week to allow crews to widen the El Cerrito bridge.

WHAT: El Cerrito Road will be restriped to one travel lane in each direction at the undercrossing. Pedestrian access will be available on the north side of El Cerrito Road. Please allow for extra travel time and use caution when traveling through the area due to ongoing construction activities.

WHEN: Work begins the week of Feb. 25, with the new traffic configuration on El Cerrito Road in place for approximately six months.


DAYTIME FLAGGING ON CORONA AVE.

Daytime flagging operations will continue weekdays for bridge widening work on Corona Ave. at I-15 through March.
