TOLL EQUIPMENT TESTING BEGINS ON 15 EXPRESS LANES

Crews are testing toll equipment along Interstate 15 this week to prepare for the anticipated opening of the 15 Express Lanes in late 2020. During this testing, vehicles will be traveling in the closed median of the 15 Express Lanes. Testing will occur through next month.

Also, if you are driving near toll equipment on I-15 and hear a beep from your hard-case style transponder, don’t worry – you are not being charged a toll. Now would be a good time to replace your hard-case style transponder with a new maintenance-free sticker that doesn’t beep! Click for details.

Information about the opening of the 15 Express Lanes and how this new system will operate will be provided in the fall.

DON’T GO THERE: CREWS STILL AT WORK

In the I-15 median, crews have paved the 15 Express Lanes, which are separated from the current lanes by orange barrels. The 15 Express Lanes are fully closed to drivers at this time, since crews are still working in these lanes. It is unsafe – and illegal – to drive in these lanes. For your own safety and the safety of our crews, don’t go there!

PAVEMENT GRINDING ON I-15 EXPECT NIGHTTIME NOISE

Pavement grinding on I-15 is scheduled nightly this week between Magnolia Ave. and Hidden Valley Pkwy. Crews will grind existing lanes and ramps to enhance safety and operations. Please pardon our noise while crews create a smoother, safer, and quieter ride.
