Construction Update – Week of May 28

There are no scheduled closures Friday, May 25 through Monday, May 28, in observance of Memorial Day.



Alternating northbound and southbound I-15 lane closures are scheduled nightly, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesday, May 29 through Friday, June 1. These closures are needed for sawcutting, shoulder strengthening, and hauling dirt.

Crews also will be placing k-rail on northbound I-15 between Ontario Avenue and Magnolia Avenue to prepare for upcoming soundwall construction.

At least one lane will remain open at all times. The expected lane closure schedule is:

Crews are conducting electrical work and making the finishing touches to the southbound I-15 soundwall between El Cerrito Road and Cajalco Road. The wall is expected to be completed in early June.

Work on three new soundwalls is expected to start next month on northbound I-15 between Ontario Avenue and Magnolia Avenue.



In the freeway median, grading and excavating will continue behind k-rail.

Please be aware of construction trucks merging into the lanes from the median.
